Good morning Twitter campers - a fairly hefty roundup this morning as lots of news and views coming in by email as well as on our twitter radar!

  • Twitter Status keeps us updated on the ..ummm… status of Twitter - good if you’re intersted in stats and figures - and pretty little graphs :)
  • I don’t need to tell you this, I’m sure, as it was all over the news yesterday - Twitter has finally announced that they did buy Summize, and it’s all live and working already. $15 million in shares and cash - I wonder which twitter app they have their beady eyes on now?
  • The Download Squad have a great ‘guide to twitter‘ - very handy if you’re still wondering whether tweeting is for you, or not quite sure where to start.
  • Twit Rank by Twittown is a list of the top 150 Twitterers. Select to sort by followers / followed, number of updates or following (the number of people that user is following). They have daily updates so check back often to find the top twitterers!
  • The above article led us into The Twitter Hall of Shame - 50 Tweets that will go down in history. Political, corporate, society - it’s all covered here. An ideal example of how NOT to run a Twitter campaign!
  • The Mattinator makes it easy to post to multiple Twitter accounts without having to keep logging in and out of each one - handy if you run personal and business accounts, or multiple accoutns for whatever reason.
  • If you organise or get involved in conferences, then The Social Organization’s article on how Twitter is transforming conferences makes interesting reading. From creating demand, to finding other conference goers, to reporting on the conference, it’s an interesting way to use Twitter and one that more poeple will be using, I’m sure.

Right, that’s it for now - more later on today no doubt, and don’t forget - if you have a Twitter article or Twitter news, LET US KNOW!
