Good morning people – time for the morning roundup of Twitter news on my radar:
- Interesting Twitter Life Cycle diagram from CogDog – I think it pretty much encompasses most people’s experience of Twitter, at least in a social capacity. Some intersting links from that story too, to others’ examples of their Twitter experience.
- ɹǝʇʇıʍʇ uı uʍop ǝpısdn ǝʇıɹʍ oʇ ʍoɥ – over at Paciific IT, Robert Sanzalone tells us how to write upside down in Twitter – yes, I know it has no actual USE, and it’s very annoying after a while, but it’s geeky and funny for about 3 seconds and I guarantee most of you will try it
- The fabby ReadWriteWeb have a round up of The Most Popular Twitter Apps According to the Blogosphere – no real surprises to find Twhirl the most popular, but intersting to see some of the other movers and shakers.
- The Industry Standard has an article on 10 Ways That Twitter Could Make Money Easily – I’m not sure I agree with a lot of them (banner advertising???) but it’s an interesting post. Monitoring business mentions on Twitter is a good one, but I’m not sure how Twitter could charge for this, as it’s easy to do. We already offer this service to our clients at NikkiPilkington.com free of charge, and it’s very simple to do.
- Five Ways Twitter Will Make You Smarter – is the name of an article we found by David Mullen – and despite the fact that the headline sounds as if it’s a tongue in cheek article, it’s actually deadly serious and pretty good! From gleaning information from your followers and people you follow to becoming a better writer, it’s well worth a read.
Well, that’s it for now, apart from a final little plug – nothing to do with twitter, but you might be interested.
