Be our guest – we’re looking for guest bloggers!

The guest posts that we publish here on Business on Twitter are among our most visited, and it’s clear that our visitors love to find out more about how YOU use twitter, how YOU make it work for you and the apps and gadgets that YOU find work best.

So we’re looking for guest posters who have thoughts about twitter and would like to see them on this blog.

The guest blogs can be about anything to do with Twitter, and of course can promote your own Twitter account, your website and your courses / books / products / services – as long as they’re educational, informative and useful to our community.

Tweetminer – A Guest Post By Thomas Clifford

This is a guest post from Thomas Clifford of  Tommytrc, who you can follow on twitter at www.twitter.com/tommytrc

TweetMiner is the brain child of Justin Vincent, @justinvincent on Twitter, who started coding TweetMiner to solve a personal problem he had with other clients. No twitter client offered RSS feed integration or user experience like TweetMiner. He saw the way other Twitter clients handled scheduling and thought it was too tedious and said “there has to be a better way!” Justin is coding this all by himself, while other twitter tools have had millions in venture capital, not here! Justin codes TweetMiner in his spare time.

How To Get More Traffic From Twitter

Reciprocation is a smart business idea.  You scratch someones back.  And they scratch your back in return.

But up until now, there was no reciprocation tool available that helps you generate traffic via Twitter.  That has changed now because of the launch of the ReTweetize.com website.

ReTweetize is a simple easy to use and a completely free ReTweet exchange application that will help you generate more traffic.

Here is how it works:

How To Win Big On Twitter?

An interesting email reached us today with a tale of how to win big on Twitter, but also of how to find a willing audience for your adverts. Twitter Lotto owner Pete tells us:

On September 25, 2009 – The Twitter Lottery was born. Created by a university student Canada, the Twitter Lottery is based on a single Twitter account that you follow as your “ticket”. As the web site grows and evolves, so does the jackpot. The web site grows from publicity, and the jackpot is earned and built from the web site’s growing value, advertising revenue and popularity. Unlike a standard lottery, the Twitter Lotto is free to participate in. This is what sets it apart from the rest.

The Java Balloon Project – The Highest Twitter Client In The Room

A guest post from Viorel Spinu, co-founder of Sety (Java custom development company)

I would like to introduce to you a new Twitter related story that happened this Friday in Bucharest, Romania.

Friday, the 18th of September 2009, the first auto-tweet has been sent from a helium balloon during the local WebStock IT NewMedia conference.

The concept

As an example of unusual Twitter application, we have custom programmed an IPhone to automatically tweet a photo of the room every minute. Next, we have attached the IPhone to a helium filled balloon and let it fly during the WebStock conference (a local Bucharest IT conference), having so created “the highest twitter client ever”.

Twitter Logos

www.twitterlogos.com is a new site offering FREE twitter logos, icons, badges and follow on twitter buttons.

We provide this service by scanning thousands of updates on the worlds most popular micro-blogging service, Twitter.com and with the help of users like you whom have added our retweet button to your blog.

Woohoo! It’s #followfriday!

OK, it’s probably not that exciting anymore, unless you’re new to Twitter, but I still find FollowFriday a great way to find new people to follow and find out more about.

Someone asked me the other day; “Has #followfriday run its course? Is it old now? Is it over?” I don’t know the answer to that, but I really hope not, because to me, FF epitomises one of the great things about networking – referrals.

When done properly, and thought through, #FollowFriday is a great way to shout out about and recommend the people you follow who really make a difference, and who you feel shold be brought to the attention of others.

I'm happy to use Increase Sociability.
