[Website currently brewing.]
My work is mostly business-to-business, although I do occasionally get involved in consumer projects.
I rework or edit existing copy (including very rough drafts or notes) or write from scratch. Requirements vary from project to project, of course.
I work on web pages, email campaigns, direct mail pieces, articles, magazines, leaflets, flyers, brochures, guides and white papers – essentially any written business communication, internal or external.
My clients have ranged from one-man-bands through to global brands such as Hitachi and Adaptec. I’m equally happy working with end-clients and agencies.
I use Twitter fairly heavily – @ me and I’ll be likely to reply within a few hours: @AdrianHiggs.
Thanks for starting this list, Nikki.
Originally from a corporate background (British Airways, Baker & McKenzie), I started Zarywacz in 1994 in partnership with my brother, Simon.
Our copywriting services include writing brochures, web sites and marketing copy. We also handle PR writing, including articles, case studies and press releases, both directly for clients and for PR and marketing agencies that don’t always have the required expertise.
I’ve also written for national trade magazines as well as the The Business Magazine in the Thames Valley and currently write two pages of business news each week for the North Devon Journal. I can also write and edit magazines and newsletters, both in print and online.
As technology and marketing evolve, we adapt our experience and develop new skills so we can take advantage of blogs and social media for clients.
Subject matter ranges from general business and the professions, to technology, engineering and technical, arts and entertainment, travel and transport. It’s the relationship with a client that really counts and we try to understand how someone works and what they want to achieve.
As well as aiming to provide value, we try to be fun to work with.
Just in case the web site address isn’t added automatically, it’s http://z2z.com and I’m @robertz on twitter.
Cheers!

I started off on consumer magazines so I’m used to incredibly tight deadlines and writing for a broad range of audiences.
I’ve spent over 20 years in commercial management, up to board level. I’ve worked for a global business, a tiny start up, a London retailer, a charity and a public sector body. I’m a qualified accountant who dislikes numbers but loves systems, processes and most importantly, writing.
In every job I ever did I spent time writing but I could never do enough to satisfy me. So I’ve decided to go freelance as a copywriter.
