I have been on Twitter now for around 15 months and loving it!
How many people follow you?
At the moment – around 1500 plus
How many people do you follow?
Erm, around 1400 plus.
What made you sign up to Twitter?
I had heard lots of people talking about it on the radio and tv so my initial reason was curiosity, then I realised it could be good for the business too.
How often do you ‘Tweet’?
A few times a day.
How has Twitter been beneficial to your business?
It has enabled me to meet a lot more local people and build relationships with them. I have also managed to gain new contacts, learn about new events and meet great people on there.
If you had to recommend one person that business people should follow on Twitter, who would it be and why?
Me as I love to talk to new people, exchange ideas and network.
Have you had business / leads from Twitter?
Yes very, I have already gained around 3 ongoing clients from it.
Can you give a specific example of how Twitter has made a difference to your business?
Yes, I met a lady called on there called Jill who has a similar military background to me, we started talking and now I run all her admin, calls and act as her PA so as well as gaining a new friend it also helped us both out too.
How do you see your use of Twitter evolving in the future, if at all?
I will continue to carry on tweeting and meeting great people on there and I hope it can continue to assist me in expanding my business.
