TopyTalk.com – Twitter talk oriented timeline

When Alex R,  the developer of TopyTalk.com aproached us with details of his new app, we asked him to tell you about it in his own words – and here they are!

Topytalk is a Twitter talk-oriented timeline.

Since its beginning Twitter has focused on the one-directional message flow. The idea was to follow someone for news, personal updates and – added later – retweets. But in the world of human interactions it is quite natura to be curious about what others talk about and especially to be interested in the conversations among the people you follow. Twitter provides no facility for that.

Topytalk is built around conversations presented in the threaded format, where all @replies to a tweet are grouped together and allowed to be found by either one of the participant's username, status id, hashtag or keywords. There is also a special field for entering one or more usernames for viewing conversations of the people who are most interesting to you as they happen in real time.

In addition Topytalk automatically groups each user conversations into the talk-line found at an address similar to the Twitter user's home timeline: http://topytalk/yourtwitterusername

Overall, Topytalk should serve as a good tool for these seeking more thoughtful and diverse ways to use Twitter. The next version is under development and it will add more context awareness and will allow receiving notifications when a particular person is having a conversation. Site link: http://topytalk.com

We did try to play around with TopyTalk, but my username (@nikkipilkington) isn't indexed yet – we're told only about 60% of Tweets are at the moment, but they're working on it :)

We'd be interested to know what you guys think, so play around and let us know!
