We’re looking to run another series of interviews with people who are using Twitter for Business purposes. It’s very simple, all you have to do is answer a few questions, in as much detail as you like.

Obviously, the more details you give us, the more likely we are to publish your interview first, but we’re not turning anyone away.

Simply copy and paste the questions below into an email and send to nikki@nikkipilkington.com, then follow Nikki on Twitter to be alerted when your interview is published!

The Twoogle effect – be careful what you say!

A while ago the rumour was that Twitter pages were ‘noindex, ‘nofollow’ or that robots.txt kept Google out, but it seems that if this was ever the case, it certainly isn’t now.

A recent change in how Twitter writes the title tags on pages is seeing people’s Twitter profiles showing up in the search results when someone searches a name.

A month ago a search on my name brought up my own site, a few networking sites I was a member of, a couple of my blogs and some other profiles.

Top Google results for my name

Making Twitter work for you – Video

A great PubCon South interview with Michael Gray about how to make the most of Twitter.

The basics (but do watch the interview; it’s great!)

- Be polite
- Make friends
- Start conversations
- Ask questions
- Answer questions

So it’s not all about ‘me me me’ and it’s not just a broadcast medium – exactly the kind of attitude we like!

Free Twitter Checklist!

I don’t often use this blog to promote my own ‘stuff’ so I hope you’ll all forgive me this one time!

I’ve put together a Twitter Checklist of 40 things I think you should be looking at if you’re serious about promoting your business on Twitter.

I’m giving it to you for free – however there is a bit of a catch. To get it free you have to read about a new service I’m promoting – TweetMentor.

You can find out more and get your free Twitter for business checklist here

Is promotion to 2400+ people worth £2 of your money?

Man crosses shipping lane in a pedalo – Nikki offers Twitter promotion for £2!

Yes, I know it’s Comic Relief soon and everyone is charitied out – but what about the smaller causes? The ones that don’t have armies of people queuing up to climb mountains, bake cupcakes and hold coffee mornings for them?

The causes that still make a real difference in people’s lives, but we don’t often get to hear about?

The Wessex Rehabilitation Centre is one such cause. It opened in 1956 and treats patients across Wiltshire, Hampshire, Dorset, the Isle of Wight and the Channel Isles and specialises in intensive rehabilitation following hand, arm and leg surgery, burns, chronic spinal pain and multiple injuries.

Twitter for CEOs – it’s not just for plebs!

I talk to people about Twitter a lot. A LOT. And that;s because I’ve seen how well it works; for gaining business, for branding purposes, for customer support and for credibility. I have had multiple thousands of pounds worth of business because fo Twitter, and I want everyone else to have the same!

But invariably some of the people I speak to say “Yeah but it’s just for one man bands”, “I sell ot corporates and none of my potential business is on there”, “I’m a Managing Director, why would I use Twitter, that’s for less important people” and so on.

Breaking news can up your follower count!

Interesting to see the increase in followers that @jkrums got yesterday. He was allegedly the first to post pictures of yesterday’s Hudson River plane crash, and a massive 1949 of you decided to follow him – followed by another 132 today at the time of writing.

Stats from the fantastic TwitterCounter.

Update: Rory Cellan-Jones has posted more about this story, and how twitter is changing the way journalists report here.
